Yesterday, Chris Brown and Drake were spotted in the studio together – and it kinda blew our minds.
The beefing R&B/rap stars were by no means BBFs; they got into a notoriously bloody showdown at WiP nightclub in NYC, and have been competing over Rihanna for years.
So when we saw the photo on Insta, we were a little shocked. But once we had time to digest their reunion, it makes more sense; in fact, it makes a lot of sense. It’s all about the money.
According to TMZ, Chris and Drake think (know) they can make more dough working together than they would if they continued their feud.
Chris and Drake have decided they can actually make more money together than separately … this according to sources working closely with the 2 performers.
They’re now in the studio … laying tracks down for Chris’ new album. We’re told Drake will perform with Chris on some of the songs and he’ll also be the producer.
There’s a bonus for Chris — by working with Drake he’ll be able to continue being affiliated with Young Money and that keeps the door open to collaborations with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. As a matter of fact, we know Tyga — also part of Y.M. — was in the studio with Drake and Chris on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Chris is already doing OK on the money front. How do we know? He shared a pic of his Lambo’s new paint job:
Maybe he and Drake can get matching ones with all the cash they’re about to make?
