The 2014 Video Music Awards just got a little wilder.
That’s because it’s been announced that rap superstar Nicki Minaj will be performing her booty-shaking anthem “Anaconda” at the awards show, which goes down on Sunday, August 24, at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
This won’t be the first time Nicki hits the big stage at the VMAs. In 2012, she joined Alicia Keys and Gabby Davis for a performance of “Girl on Fire.”
It’s funny that this news came out today: yesterday was Sir Mix-A-Lot’s birthday and the legendary rapper recently said that he approves of “Anaconda,” a song that samples his classic “Baby Got Back.”
August 24th can’t get here soon enough.
