UPDATE: 11:20 AM EST
And just in case you were wondering how Officer Darren Wilson’s getting along with life amid the controversy surrounding him, check this out.
The officer who disappeared after shooting Michael Brown Jr. just married his girlfriend. Life is sweet, isn’t it?
From the St. Louis Dispatch:
Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson married his girlfriend, also a Ferguson police officer, on Oct. 24.
Wilson, 28, wed Barbara Spradling, 36, in Overland. Attorney and municipal Judge Christopher Graville performed the informal ceremony, according to the marriage license.
The couple went unnoticed when they applied for a marriage license at the St. Louis County Courthouse, sources there said.
Wilson’s attorneys declined to comment.
This is Wilson’s second marriage. His divorce from Ashley Brown was finalized on Nov. 18, 2013.

So this is happening.
Darren Wilson may have perfected the art of disappearing in the days following Michael Brown’s death, but he isn’t completely missing in action.
According to a report by CNN’s Brian Stelter, the Ferguson police officer who killed Brown has been meeting with high-profile TV news anchors who have been hoping to secure interviews with him.
Wilson has not given an interview since the August shooting, and there’s no word on when his first will be. We do know, however, that he turned down CNN’s Anderson Cooper and also met with “respectability politics” advocate Don Lemon.
Anderson Cooper took to Twitter to address his encounter with Wilson:
For the record, I met briefly with Darren Wilson a few days ago to see if he wanted to do an interview with me. That’s standard procedure

Darren Wilson chose not to do an interview with me. I continue to hope to interview anyone with information about this tragedy.

For those asking, yes I met with Darren Wilson regarding an interview. Not out of the ordinary. @CNNTonight @brianstelter

According to Stelter, the anchors who have met with Wilson also include Matt Lauer of NBC, George Stephanopoulos of ABC, and Scott Pelley of CBS:
“Two of my network sources — who spoke on condition of anonymity — said that the CBS newsmagazine “60 Minutes” has been in especially hot pursuit of an interview with Wilson,” Stelter said.
“The police officer’s representatives decided to arrange meetings with people from “60 Minutes” and people from several other networks.”
None of the anchors or sources familiar with the meetings have revealed where or when the discussions took place.
What’s clear is that someone knows where Wilson is. And they’re not telling. We wonder if prosecutors who’ve had their cases scrapped because Wilson refuses to show up in court are aware that he has more important things to attend to.
Interesting.
