After just 28 days of marriage, WNBA player Brittney Griner has filed for an annulment from her wife Glory Johnson. To top it off, the news comes just after Johnson announced her pregnancy.
Following the big reveal, Griner is reportedly claiming her marriage was “based on ‘fraud and duress.'”
TMZ reports:
In court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, Griner says she has NO biological connection to the baby … and she doesn’t know any of the key details about Johnson’s pregnancy.
In short, it seems like Griner is suggesting they were not on the same page when it came to the pregnancy.
Griner also says the marriage to Johnson is based on “fraud and duress” — because Griner was “pressured into marriage under duress by [Johnson’s] threatening statements.”
Prior to tying the knot, both women were involved in a domestic violence dispute – Griner pleaded guilty and was ordered to complete a 26 week domestic violence counseling program, according to TMZ.
We hope they’re able to settle their differences before things get any uglier.
