Raven-Symone might have garnered some side eyes, and raised some eyebrows, after her comments in the media within the past year, but it’s worked out in her career’s favor.
The former Disney Channel star has officially signed on to be the newest co-host of The View, and has earned a seat at the table with Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez.
The ABC’s show’s Twitter account confirmed the news earlier today, with many congratulations pouring in from some celebrity friends.
Raven, herself, also said in a statement:
“The Disney Company has made another one of my dreams come true! Being a part of The View family will be a wonderful growing experience for me,” she said in a statement. “The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host. Let’s have some fun!”
Congratulations to Raven, and we’re excited to see what her future on the show holds in store.
