The 1-year anniversary of Robin Williams death is approaching, and what better way to pay homage than to write a song.
Cee Lo Green has announced that he will be dedicating his next album to the legendary actor. Titled Heart Blanche, this will be Cee Lo’s first solo album in five years. Yesterday, the singer premiered the first single named after the late actor.
In a statement, Cee Lo said:
‘Robin Williams’ is a homage to our humanity, centered [on] the strength it takes to smile in the face of adversity.
The track also pays homage to Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Belushi. An interactive video came along with the single when it was premiered on Green’s website. Check out the clip below and stay tuned for the November 13th release of Cee Lo’s new album.
