Remember that 50 Cent lyric from his song ’Many Men’? “You switch sides homie…. I thought we was cool?” The same can be said for some politicians that dropped their party affiliation like a bad habit, kicked them to the curve without warning. Like breaking-up with a girl through text message, just wrong. Many factors go into a politician leaving his party, sometimes the party gets to extreme and they want to stay in the middle or sometimes the party isn’t strong enough to keep up, either way politicians always switch sides. One of the best quotes ever was  Sen. Barry Goldwater he said; “I’m not sure if I left the Republican Party or the party left me.” So check out a collection of politicians that switched sides.

Arlen Spector was a life long GOPer untill he switched sides in 2009.
