One NBA player who was on point during the NBA All Star Weekend was LA Clipper Baron Davis.

Before the weekend’s festivities got underway, before his teammate Blake Griffith dunked over a car, Davis challenged his celebrity buddies to a race around a track, driving a new Lexus CT 200h. The race was held Thursday evening in downtown Los Angeles, across the street and adjacent to the Staples Center. And it was all for charity.

And while Davis and Co. got their race on, bystanders and other party people chowed down on complementary food and drinks from famed LA food trucks.  In addition to having passed hors d’oeuvres (seared tuna wontons, jerk chicken and beef, to name a few) in the VIP section, Davis had a collection of some of the best L.A. food trucks set up for people to get complimentary burgers, tacos, po’ boys, macaroni and cheese, red velvet cupcakes and seafood. How cool and brilliant was that? Take a unique LA experience and mix it with the traditional party fingerfood fare.

After the jump we sample some of the best food trucks LA had to offer.
