The Liberian President Charles Taylor supposedly gave a gift to Naomi Campbell which she denied. Naomi Campbell may face jail time for possessing illegal uncut diamonds which sh ahs denied in South Africa under oath. Under the 1986 Diamond Acts bans mining, cutting, polishing diamonds without a license issued by the Diamond Board.
The official penalty for posessing such goods is 10 years in jail. She claims that two men came to her door with ‘dirty looking pebbles’ after a dinner hosted by Nelson Mandela, but she had no idea where it came from.
