Train wrecks, wasted talents, fallen startlet. There are so many things the media portrays Lindsay Lohan and Amy Winehouse as. Both more known now for her erratic public behavior and rehab stints then their talent and business savvy. GG wants to take the time out and remind everyone what made Lindsay and Amy famous in the first place.

Lindsay Lohan was the epitome of a teen idol back in her hayday. She was the girl everyone wanted to be, and exuded the confidence, looks and talent every girl wanted to have. Movies like Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girl shot her fame into the stratosphere.  Modeling for Dooney & Burke, Miu Miu and Jill Stuart and hosting the 2004 MTV Movie Awards made her even more popular. And releasing her debut album Speak, which went platinum, solidified her as a triple threat.

Amy Winehouse, blasted on to the music scene in 2006 with hits like ‘You Know I’m No Good’ and ‘Rehab’ from her critically acclaimed ‘Back To Black’. The Album, which was produced my New York native Mark Ronson, earned the singer 5 Grammy Awards and put her on the map as a soul singer with a sultry voice.

Then the downfall came. She became a constant target of the paparazzi, dealt with constant attention because of the very public and nasty divorce between her parents, started hanging around the wrong crowd, getting caught-up in the “Hollywood” lifestyle, and suffered her first movie flop with the critically mangled “Just My Luck”. A couple of DUI’s here, a few drug possessions there, add a sprinkle of rehab stints, more flopped movies, and failed relationships, and the rest is history.

Amy too had her run in with the law more then a few times. British and American tabloids chronicled the singer’s constant drug use, hazardous health issues, and unhealthy relationship with now ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil, which she was quoted saying was ‘based of doing drugs’.

Lindsay has a successful line of fashion accessories called 6126 sold at high-end retailers around the country and her line of spray tan, called Sevin Nyne, in collaboration with beauty emporium Sephora is an extreme popular brand for the store.

People are still patentienly wait for the return of Amy Winehouse. With one album, she changed the face of R&B soul music. The voice of Winehouse was constantly considered one of the greatest their ever was compared to Jazz greats like Sarah Vaughn and Billie Holiday.
