Yo this is another page that I just tore out from my Street Diary. I been thinking about all da hype that is building up for next week’s inauguration of my man Barack Obama as the President. There’s a lot of chatter today about Obama on da street.

N****s can’t seem to believe that da shit is really about go down in Washington, DC. My pop Russell will be there with his Global Grind crew and he probably will wear one of them Argyle Culture tuxedos with those banging American Classic tennis shoes to the swearing in ceremony.

Wow, hip-hop has sure helped to make this history. All those shorties and lil mamas that voted for the first time were inspired by our poetry, music and swagger. It’s not like just looking at da history of the past, but it’s like living in our history in da present. That’s some real G shit.

Being able to watch Obama take charge of da White House will be a prayer come true. That’s right, I pray everyday son cause that’s how I am able to make it through life. But from where I come from, I never close my eyes while I am praying. It is so difficult to trust anybody today because there are so many snitches.

The point here is simply that I know a lot of other people who also prayed for this day and time to come to pass. Now we all got to take more responsibility to create change in our own lives.

What happens when God answers your prayers? You say thank you, get up and go to work, try to make something positive happen for your family and hood.

That’s why I rap so hard and so raw with no chaser. You feel me? You know what I mean? I have to disturb the peace with my poetry with a bad ass beat that will not let you sit still.

Best wishes to Obama. One day I might get an invitation to rap in the White House.  In the meantime, I’m gonna keep grinding.
