This weekend at the 2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta, Global Grind had the chance to speak with Soulja Boy on a number of topics. When we asked him about his first time hearing Outkast‘s classic single  ‘Player’s Ball,’ Soulja said ‘That’s history… They’re ATLiens. They solidified hip-hop in the south early, way before I started. If you go back to when people was hating on me and saying I wasn’t hip-hop, if you go back to Outkast at the Source Awards they got booed of stage, and people were trying to say they wasn’t hip-hop. ‘Hmm. Soulja also spoke on working with 50 Cent and Kanye West and gave us an exlusive breakdown of all of the ice he was wearing. Be sure to check out Soulja Boy’s performance on  the BET Hip-Hop Awards when they air October 12.
