Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles went to visit Christ the Redeemer in Brazil. The Single Ladies singer was mobbed by fans as her bodyguard Julius tried to protect her from enthusiastic fans with cameras.
Back when Beyonce was with Destiny’s Child she shared a little bit of herself by saying “I am about faith and spirituality more so than religion. Doing right by others and not judging. The thing that keeps me grounded is knowing that I’m always protected and that God is in control of things. Even the name of our group, Destiny’s Child, we got out of the Bible. . . For me it is about the way I carry myself and the way I treat other people. My relationship and how I feel about God and what he does for me is something deeply personal. It’s where I came from. I was brought up in a religious household and that’s very important to me.’”
