Wesley Snipes is starring in the latest movie from, creator of Training Day, Antoine Fuqua Brooklyn’s Finest. In Brooklyn’s Finest Wesley Snipes plays a drug dealer fresh out of jail and ready to embark on the world. I sat down with Wesley to ask him about his first drug dealer role since New Jack City’s Iconic Nino Brown Character, working Patrick Swayze, the stanky leg, and his crazy hair styles.

Xilla: What’s the difference between Nino Brown in New Jack City and Cassanova in Brooklyn’s Finest:

Wesley Snipes: ‘Nino was a monster, Nino wanted to stay in the game, Nino was very very full of himself and very grandiose. Cassanova or Cass he’s the opposite or at least he’s a more refined, calmer, wiser ex Nino. He’s more aware of the pitfalls of the game and his vision for his future is different. He wants to have a very calm peaceful beautiful life in the Visa, with a couple of beautiful ladies or a wife and he can keep it simple like that and not have to sleep with one eye open.’

Xilla: I saw an interview where you said you would be a dancer if you weren’t acting, would you ever consider going on Dancing With The Stars?

Wesley Snipes: ‘Ah! Very good question! I don’t think it would be fair, I think that would be a set up, because I’m winning.’

Xilla: Hip  Hop right now have a lot of dances…

Wesley Snipes: ‘Like The Shaky Shaky, and the stanky leg…’

Xilla: Exactly the Shaky Shaky! Are you familiar with these new dances and what’s your favorite new hip-hop dance craze?

Wesley Snipes: ‘I don’t know all the terminology, but I can do some of them, but I don’t know the terms. I dance a lot that’s my passion.’

Xilla: So you can go on Dancing With The Stars!

Wesley: ‘I’m telling you man it’s not fair.’

Xilla: You can never call yourself a dancer if you go on Dancing with the Stars and Emmit Smith, Warren Sapp or one of them beat you.

Wesley Snipes: ‘That is exactly right, but that wouldn’t happen.’ (Laughs)

Xilla: In all of your movies you have these wild and crazy hairstyles, you’re like the Lady Gaga of hairstyles can you give us some insight on your movie hair?

Wesley Snipes: ‘Some of the guys like it and some of the guys don’t. That’s my attempt to rehash that repertory theater character type of actor reality. I like looking different and I hope that as I continue in my career that I’ll be able to play a lot more character roles.’

Did you ever see Patrick Swayze after Too Wong Foo?

Wesley Snipes: Rest In Peace my friend. Yeah you know Patrick was a real renaissance man. His ability to do so many different things and his level of passion was impressive and I admired it very much. I enjoy working with him very much. Our laughter and our conversation I really miss the guy.&n
