Music Moguls and Money Makers: Kid Cudi has announced that he is leaving Universal Motown in order to start his own indpendent record label with the help of his friend and producer Dot Da Genius.
“As far as my movement, I have to lead it. Can’t expect people to have the same morals as me,” Cudi tweeted, “I am still with GOOD music, with that being said I’m just changin my side of things up a bit… the jams will be the same, but more real and true to me…this is a day to rejoice, this isnt bad news. things are gonna be so epic, I’m like a kid on Xmas eve I’m so excited bout this new chapter.”
What: Detroit pop singer Christian TV gives bluegrass folkies Mumford & Sons, a beat makeover with his remake of “The Cave.” The original is awesome, but the danceable version of Mumford & Sons—even better!
What: Brit and The Black Eyed Peas beat-man team up for this electro pop dance jam and it sounds like everything you would expect from two of the biggest pop hitmakers.
“Thank you Britney for collaborating, it was a pleasure working with you,” will wrote on Dipdive. “Thank you for trusting my instincts…you’re a doll…i look forward on working with you again…It’s an honor because you rarely do collaboration…I’m your second…”
What: The two hit collaborators have announced their reunion in a viral video posted by Timbaland. “I told ya’ll that we are back,” he said. These two are no strangers to working together and have made hits for the likes of Aaliyah and Tweet. The duo was also spotted courtside at last weekend’s Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks game.
