We all watched the video of Antoine Dodson explaining, in the most dramatic way, how an intruder entered his home and attempted to attack his sister. Within the next 2 days there was a catchy song made out of the audio that gained over 7 million views on youtube. The song even made the Billboard Hot 100 and is being sold on iTunes where it also became an instant hit. Well now the song is on the verge of becoming even bigger! Hailey Williams from the group Paramore has done a rock cover to the song featuring Jordin Pundik from New Found Glory and Ethan luck from Relient K.
Dodson is gaining great fame from a news story in which he was only trying to find his sisters attacker. While on the ‘Today Show,’ Dodson stated ‘We didn’t want to be famous or a celebrity for something that happened so serious to us,’ but also stated that a lot of good has come from the fame. Recently, Antoine Dodson has created a website in which he sells merchandise and takes donations to get his family out of the projects. Dodson was literally an overnight sensation and it seems he’s going to milk this cow until its dry.
