John Legend was caught on the set of his 70’s themed video for ‘Wake Up Everybody.’ The track is the first single off of his collaborative album with The Roots entitled Wake Up! which is due out in stores Sept 21. Wake Up! is a socially conscious album inspired by the 60’s and 70’s hence the theme for the kick off video.
Melanie Fiona serves as the leading lady in this video, and finds her inner soul sista while the rest of the cast dressed in bell bottoms and suede vest. Directed by Gil Green the video was shot in Brooklyn.
