In the Giants/Jets preseason game last night, August 16, Giants quarterback Eli Manning received an injury causing blood to spew from his forehead.

The injury happened after Eli Manning’s teammate Brandon Jacobs accidentally knocked his helmet loose on a play. When Eli Manning was struck by Jets linebacker Calvin Pace, Manning’s helmet was knocked all the way off and Manning collided with another Jets defender.

After the play blood started to gush from Eli Manning’s forehead and he was taken out of the game. He later recieved 12 stitches on the 3-inch laceration on his head. Eli Manning had x-rays done and showed no signs of a concussion or any other damage.
