Treme debuted on HBO over the weekend and I decided to watch it via onDemand later today. While I’m extremely excited about Treme there are 3 things I had to ask myself before I could lock in and go all out for this show. Treme is from the creators of The Wire, and it takes place in New Orleans right after Katrina. You can read the full description by going here.

But before I embark on going all in I had to ask myself these questions.

Will Treme be as good as the Wire?

I was addicted to The Wire, I cried when Boady died, screamed when Omar got killed by a toddler, and cheered when Brother Mouzone killed Stringer Bell. I was addicted to The Wire like Jesse James to tattoo’d Nazi women. My answer was this is not The Wire, so I must look at this with an open mind even though it’s from the same people.

Do I have room for another television addiction?

I pretty much stopped watching television, except for a few shows. The Life and Times of Tim, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 24, Boondocks and The Office. Other than the news and Sportscenter that is all i watch on Television. I thought to myself I’m pretty much booked, involved in a multiple love affair with a bunch of shows, and I sort of understood what it felt like to be Tiger Woods until I remembered that 24 just got canceled. This means I have room for another show on my roster. CHEA!

Which musicians can get a guest role on the show?

Now that I actually had room to fall in love with Treme and use this show for all my sick entertainment needs, I start to make it even better by wondering which of my favorite musicians can be apart of the show. Baby, Lil Wayne, Jay Electronica, John Mayer and more. All types of guest stars can play some sort of role in a feature episode just as Method Man did on The Wire. Yeah Treme is going to be great!

I’m about to log off and press play on my onDemand. I’ll see y’all in an hour!
