Rolling Stone has uncovered more gruesome photos of the U.S. Army’s self-proclaimed “Kill Team,” whose members are currently on trial for murdering Afghan civilians. More than 150 photographs have been obtained by the magazine. Many of the photos depict explicit images of violent deaths that have yet to be identified by the Pentagon.
The U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan murdered innocent civilians and mutilated their corpses. Jeremy Morlock, the U.S. soldier who pled guilty to the murders of three Afghan civilians, has been sentenced to 24 years in prison after saying “the plan was to kill people,” in a conspiracy with four fellow soldiers. The military judge said he initially intended to sentence Jeremy Morlock to life in prison with possibility of parole but was bound by the plea deal.
