GLOBALGRIND’S LONDON FASHION WEEK: TopShop Unique Sees The Future (PHOTOS)

Most people are under the illusion that New York is where its at when it comes to fashion trends but we think London is where the fashion heart beats strongest.

Don’t believe us? See those leggings and bodysuits everyone and their moms have been wearing as pants for the last two years? Guess where that started? London. Brogues on women? London.

London is the crystal ball of fashion. Don’t sleep. If you do, keep one eye open on London.

And the next big thing to come out of London for Fall 2011 will be Disney inspired creations. .

We’ve already seen Micky Mouse on the comeback on T-shirts, and America’s own Janelle Monae who checked Disney sounds on her Archandroid album. Now it’s Cruella Deville and Minnie’s turn if we are to believe, (lets face it: we  believe) TopShop Unique’s prediction. We bet you a One Day Fun Pass Metrocard that fashion hungry kids will be storming TopShop’s NY store when these looks hit our shores.

After the break, some Top Shop Looks from F/W 2011, and a look at Issa London who read the memo from New York about the 1970s. If the 70s are the future we suppose we can look forward to some fun and decadence after the belt tightening recession of the last three years. Issa delivered with vivd and gorgeous prints that were both geometric and animal related. Issa’s silhouettes were also longer than most imaginations.
