Gary Coleman, child actor turned political candidate led a life in the spotlight. Throughout his 42 years he rubbed elbows with the likes of Sammy Davis Jr., Mr. T. and Lucille Ball among others. Gary Coleman became perhaps the most well-known child star in the country while on the show, Diff’rent Strokes, during the ’70s and early ’80s.

Known for his adorable looks, Coleman always looked younger than his years because of a congenital kidney condition that stunted his growth.
