Celia Cruz Just Made Stamps Sweeter (PHOTOS)

Latin music legends Celia Cruz, Selena, Carmen Miranda, Carlos Gardel and Tito Puente are the latest cultural and music icons who will appear on US Postage stamps. Unveiled yesterday, the stamps of these Latin music giants  symbolize, recognize and acknowledge the contributions of Latino Americans who have contributed significantly to the American cultural landscape. The stamps also appear in a time when the US Post Office is struggling to turn a profit and stay relevant during a recession in a superior technological age and when countries like Sweden are using text messages as stamps.

Tejano singer Selena, Carmen Miranda and Carlos Gardel are also part of the collection created by illustrator Rafael Lopez.
