Jay-Z and Beyonce hooked up with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith for Fela, the new Broadway musical about the life and times of Fela Kuti, Nigeria’s Bob Marley – whihch just garnered 11 Tony nominations and is the front runner for Best Musical (Jay and Will produced the musical). I wonder what these powerful people discussed. Maybe a collaboration record for Jay-Z’s next album. I know I would love to hear what Will Smith and Jay-Z would do on a track.
Will Smith might be back in the studio to lay down a track for Men in Black 3. According to reports the majority of the action in the third film will take place in 1969 with Josh Brolin joining the cast to play a young Tommy Lee Jones. Don’t front y’all know y’all got jiggy with a bunch of Will Smith joints.
