A 3-month-old baby who whose throat was cut by his grandfather in Lehigh Acres has died.
Jail records show 43-year-old Manuel De Jesus Rosales was taken into custody early Friday and charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder. One count has been upgraded to first-degree murder.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office reports that Rosales and his 21-year-old daughter were arguing outside their home Thursday when he began to attack her and cut her throat. Morales placed the child near the woman and cut the child’s throat so she could see it. Rosales then approached his daughter and cut her throat two more times.
