Last night, despite an unusual hail storm in New York City, fans packed into Radio City Music Hall for a concert that featured RnB newcomers and legends. With two opening songs by Miguel, the Jive Records signee warmed up semi wet fans with his hit, ‘All I Want Is You.’
Immediately followed by a Philadelphia born soulful singer, by the name of Jazmine Sullivan. Fans sung along as Jazmine ran through ‘Need U Bad’ a song she co wrote with Missy Elliot in 2008, and ‘Bust Your Windows’ all singles from Fearless 2008 debut album. However when she performed ‘Holding You Down,’ her current single, she received such a huge response, as fans rose to their feet and sung along, reminiscing on when Mary originally belted out the hook.
Singing all her hit songs in a tone that mirrored the album versions, she was by far a memorable act. The show floated on with El Debarge and the Queen of RnB, Mary J. Blige who after her set finished gushed about the talent of all her tour mates and the vocal talent of Miss Jazmine Sullivan!
