Global Grind readers told Us which album is worthy of The Source Magazine 5 Mic status and Eminem’s ‘Recovery’ has come out on top. Although The Source officially announced that Bun B’s “Trill O.G.” was the album that earned 5 mics, according to our poll “Recovery” is a classic.

If you are wondering why “Recovery” should have received 5 mics there are a number of reasons why. For starters “Recovery” was a a redeemable come back from last years “Relapse” which failed to meet the expectations of fans.

Recovery,” Eminem’s seventh studio album, offers emotional truth wrapped in the lyrical style that we have all grown to love. It reminded fans why he is a true lyricist.

On “Recovery” Eminem was definitely trying to prove something. He comes across more mature, vulnerable and honest. Tackling the topics of his past drug abuse, success and failures over hot beats produced by DJ Khalil, Jim Jonsin, and Boi-1da.

If those reasons are not enough you must not forget the guest featured on “Recovery.” Eminem collaborated with Rihanna (which is currently getting heavy radio play),  Pink and Lil Wayne.

Debuting to ridiculously high album sales despite being leaked “Recovery” is a certified classic with or without The Source 5 mic status.
