Who wouldn’t want to “Party and Bullshit” with Rita Ora?!

Roc Nation’s little London lady has made quite the stir with her personal style, and in the August 2013 issue of Teen Vogue, photographer Richard Burbridge (paired alongside Vogue stylist Elissa Santisi) captured her young and edgy spirit in an all-new spread.

But Rita didn’t always exude that pop star confidence we see now. The up-and-coming “it” girl (who, rumor has it, is Karl Lagerfeld’s new muse, and the new face of Material Girl, the line by Madonna and daughter Lourdes) had her fair share of self-esteem issues while growing up, and she opens up about them within the issue.

There was a point in school when I was, like, thirteen, that I didn’t feel comfortable at all. I matured more quickly than the other girls; I had bigger breasts and a bigger bum—and I hated it. I would get extra-tight leotards for my dance classes [to flatten me] because I was really ashamed of my body.

And guess who helped her to love her curves? Beyonce!

At one point, I just woke up, like, ‘I love my boobs, I love my skin, I love myself. And I’m going to get a leotard that actually fits because I can’t breathe!’

Now, as she puts on for the Brits, Rita is an inspiration all her own from the realms of music and fashion to embracing one’s body.

Rocking digs from Opening Ceremony, Stella McCartney, Alexander Wang and American Apparel (just to name a few), Rita is looking hot and hip.

Check out more from her fun spread below!
