Demi Lovato is rarely outspoken, but when she is, she cuts pretty deep!

The former Disney star recently spoke with The Guardian about what advice she’d give her hypothetical 15-year-old daughter, and her answer was a little controversial.

It seems like Demi could be taking some shots at Kim Kardashian with her advice since she told them:

“When people say, ‘I want to be famous – I want to be a star,’ you have to ask: ‘What are your intentions? If you just want to be famous, make a sex tape.'”

“So what I’d say is, if you’re doing it because you want to be a respected actress or musician, follow your dream. If you just want paparazzi following you, rethink what’s going on in your little head. It’s crazy how people confuse the two nowadays.”

It looks like she also revealed some more info on her days on Barney when she was just a little girl, and how she had a crush on the guy who played him:

“If Barney was fake – and I’m not confirming or denying that, and I’m not suggesting that I may have had to sign a confidentiality agreement saying I’d never say he wasn’t real – I would imagine him to be very attractive. Because he’d have to be a muscular guy to carry that suit.”

“And he’d happen to also have a really good-looking face. And he may or may not have been my crush when I was growing up working on that show. That’s if Barney was fake.”

It looks like Kimmy might not be the only one she’s taking some shots at.

According to TMZ, Demi also came at Justin Bieber‘s neck during auditions for The X-Factor this past week.

The site reports:

It all went down Wednesday on the campus of USC when Demi took exception to the attitude one contestant was giving off. Sources on set say when it was Demi’s turn to give her opinion on the 22-year-old wannabe, she said that the industry already has too many artists with bad attitudes and then commented, “We don’t need another little punk running the streets.”
Lovato’s next shot was less subtle … when a young man auditioned with Bieber’s own song, “As Long As You Love Me.” We’re told the audience loved his performance and so did the judges, but during her critique, Demi remarked, “Well finally someone can sing the song the way it was meant to be sung.”

We love Demi, but we hope her words don’t come back to haunt her…even if she does make a good point!
