Yesterday, Drake dropped his latest song “All Me” featuring Big Sean and 2 Chainz — off his upcoming Nothing Was The Same LP — and he may have gotten more than a few people nostalgic when he mentioned the innovator of New Jack Swing, rapping:

“The light-skinned Keith Sweat.”

And taking heed to the homage, Keith Sweat linked up with Complex for an exclusive interview where he talked about how honored he felt to get a shout out from the Young Money rapper.

“Out of all the R&B artists that have come out, I think my name has been used most in hip-hop songs. It’s real flattering to know that someone who is on the top of their game will still acknowledge my music and what I’ve done. I’m a big fan of hip-hop anyway, I’m most definitely a fan of Drake, he’s at the top of his game, you can’t be mad at him. His music is melodic as well as edgy, he said.”

Aside from being flattered, Keith Sweat let it be known that he would love to collaborate with Drake in the future. Drizzy, make that happen!
