You’re probably not familiar with New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde, but you should be!
She’s the first New Zealand artist to have four songs in the top 20 of New Zealand’s Top 40 Music Chart, which includes her hit “Royals” off her EP The Love Club. The song was number 1 on the New Zealand Top 40 for three consecutive weeks.
“Royals” is also making a bit of noise here in the U.S. And RAAK decided to amplify that noise with a remix treatment that features “Pray” rapper Gilbere Forte.
“Everybody’s like Cristal, Maybach, diamonds on your time piece/ Jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash/ We don’t care we aren’t caught up in your love affair,” Lorde sings.
Forte follows with:
“And we’ll never be separated like dope dealers and gold chains/ Gold rings that bling beyond Soul Train/ So many dreams I can’t even sleep a long day.”
