Nearly a month ago, Gia Allemand’s life was tragically cut short. The former reality star committed suicide on August 12.

As the news broke, dark details emerged about the former Bachelor star’s tragic death. Gia had been on the phone with her mother, Donna Micheletti, during her last moments on earth. Micheletti shared the details of her last encounter with her daughter with Dr. Phil earlier this week.

“I’m the closest person in the world to her and she didn’t want to be alone when she left this world,” Micheletti told Phil McGraw. “So she wanted Mommy to be there, I guess.”

Donna said the two were chatting when suddenly, the call went silent. This prompted her to reach out to Gia’s boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson.

“It destroys me, but if it made her feel better, than that’s fine. I don’t mind dealing with this,” she said. She added that it hurt her that her 29-year-old daughter could have been saved. “I’m really mad that she did this for no reason. In 12 hours it would have been fine. I’m really angry.”

After receiving the urgent call from Gia’s mother, Anderson rushed to his girlfriend’s home. Inside, he found Gia hanging from her staircase with a vacuum cord wrapped around her neck. He immediately called 911 and attempted to resuscitate her, but his efforts proved futile.

Gia died two days later after being put on life support.

We admire Donna Micheletti’s strength during this difficult time.
