As we watched George Zimmerman’s domestic dispute play out in front of us, a wise friend said to me, “You would think after beating a murder beef one would sit his ass down somewhere.”

Yeah, GlobalGrind thought so too. But it seems like since the former neighborhood watch volunteer was acquitted of murdering Trayvon Martin in the high-profile trial that shocked us all, he’s been in the spotlight more than ever.

Which is confusing. Wouldn’t someone who pissed off America want to stay out of trouble…and out of the news?

Not Zimmerman. If this summer has proved anything, it’s that trouble follows him wherever he goes. And in a crazy twist to the tragic story of Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman’s good guy persona that arguably got him off the hook is unraveling for everyone to see.

Take a look.

George Zimmerman Gets Pulled Over For Speeding

We hadn’t heard a peep from Zimmerman after the murder trial ended in the summer, but on July 31st he resurfaced – and it wasn’t without notice. Zimmerman was caught speeding down a highway in Forney, Texas, but the most surprising part of it all is that he was armed. He told the officer that he had a gun in his glove compartment and when asked why he was speeding, he replied that he was “headed nowhere in particular.”

He was given a polite warning and told to slow down. But get this – the officer who stopped him was under investigation for possibly snapping a photograph of Zimmerman’s vehicle. So the only person in trouble from this run-in with the law was the actual law.

George Zimmerman Buys Another Gun…And Poses For A Picture

One would think that if you were just in trouble for shooting a gun, you might not want to be photographed in a gun store. But Zimmerman doesn’t seem to care. On August 23rd, nearly a month after his run-in with the police for speeding, the gun advocate was spotted at the gun manufacturing company Kel-Tec inquiring about a tactical shotgun used for home defense. Turns out Zimmerman has a preference, because Kel-Tec also made the PF-9 pistol he used to shoot Trayvon.

After the picture he took with the owner’s son smiling ear-to-ear, his lawyer expressed how inappropriate it was for Zimmerman to visit the shop. So now, even his defense is telling him to take it easy and have a seat.

George Zimmerman DOESN’T Show Up To Wife’s Hearing

At this point, we know that Zimmerman doesn’t mind being in the spotlight. So it was weird when just days after being spotted at the gun store, he didn’t show up to his wife’s perjury hearing. Shellie Zimmerman, who stood by George throughout the murder trial, ended up catching one year probation and a hefty fine for lying to the judge about how much money the couple had. But his absence didn’t go unnoticed. Just a day later, she appeared on Good Morning America to tell the world she felt lonely that her husband wasn’t by her side.

It’s no surprise that after mentioning that he was verbally abusive and negligent, Shellie filed for divorce. But that’s coming up…

George Zimmerman Gets Pulled Over…AGAIN

You would think Zimmerman learned his lesson the first time, but that didn’t stop the speed demon from zooming down a Florida highway in his gray pick up truck. The neighborhood watchman was going 60 in a 45 mph zone and this time, he was ticketed for it.

Lesson learned? Maybe. We’ll have to see.

George Zimmerman & Shellie Call It Quits

After telling Good Morning America that she “wasn’t sure” if she could stay with her husband of nearly seven years, Shellie Zimmerman files for divorce. And while it’s his wife that’s now front and center, it’s the confession from Shellie about her abusive husband that makes us go “hmmm.”

She talked about Zimmerman’s abusive nature. She said he beat her self esteem down. She revealed that their marriage had been strained for a while. And her confession that she wasn’t even at the house when Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon because they were arguing gave us some pause. What was George Zimmerman’s state of mind that fateful night? She even alluded in one interview that what the jury didn’t hear might have changed their minds. She was spilling the beans…and we were listening.

George Zimmerman & Shellie Have A Domestic Dispute…& A Gun MIGHT Have Been Involved

We know now that the Lake Mary Police who detained Zimmerman after he and Shellie’s domestic dispute on Monday said that they didn’t see a gun on his person, but the 911 call made by his wife suggests otherwise.

We gave you a play-by-play here: Shellie called the police and alleged that Zimmerman was threatening her and her father with a gun. He also threatened her with a knife and punched his father-in-law in the nose so hard they thought it was broken. He smashed her iPad, which may have contained the video of the dispute on it. And long story short, they both might be going to jail.

One, because Zimmerman destroyed evidence. And two, because Shellie allegedly hit him. And though it’s unclear what they were arguing about, we’re going to take a wild guess and say it was all that defense money being shelled out to Shellie, or that affair that Zimmerman is having with his ex-fiancee (who he also allegedly abused). Just messy…

George Zimmerman Is A Ticking Time Bomb

That woman above was one of George Zimmerman’s friend-witnesses who testified that he was a loving person, docile and helpful around the neighborhood. But Leanne Benjamin, who bought all of “Georgie’s” suits for his trial, was singing another tune on Monday.

When asked about the domestic dispute, she had this to say: “I’m relieved. He was a powder keg waiting to blow… I feel relieved now that he…might get some quiet time and some psychological help. If he had run into a stranger and got into an altercation he might have hurt someone or ended up hurt or dead himself.”

A little weird that his friends are spilling the beans now too…but not in the courtroom where it counts. Remember, it was Leanne’s husband, John Donnelly, that gave the media the bone about Georgie cheating on Shellie.

George Zimmerman’s Lawyer Ditches Him

Probably fed up that his client can’t seem to stay out of the media, defense attorney Mark O’Mara released a statement to distance himself from the man who he helped beat a murder charge.

“I am not representing George Zimmerman in his recent domestic altercation case or his impending divorce case,” O’Mara told CNN, his new employer. Ouch.

We’re not sure what George Zimmerman will be involved in next, but I think it’s safe to say (in the words of Tamar Braxton, of course) that he needs to have several seats.

Because all his speeding, gun waving and anger issues aren’t making him look any better. In fact, they are making us go “hmmm.”

And for Zimmerman, that’s not a good thing.
