“Hold up, wait a minute, your career ain’t shit unless you got some Kendrick in it.”

Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar stole the show last night during the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards. BET celebrated hip-hop with outstanding freestyle cyphers by rap collectives like A$AP Mob, TDE, and Slaughterhouse, among many other influential rappers in the game.

Although the cyphers generated the most buzz on social media, performances by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, ScHoolboy Q, and Kendrick Lamar were also noteworthy.

All the action was recorded last month in Atlanta, but if you missed last night’s airing, make sure you watch Kendrick and the TDE family’s cypher up top, and check out everyone else’s cyphers and performances below.
