It’s no secret that some sports fans take winning and losing to the extreme.
But the excitement about an extremely close Jets victory over the New England Patriots was too much for one green-clad, Wayne Chrebet jersey-wearing fan. The unidentified man, seen in the video above, punched a woman in the face at Met Life stadium in a post-game fight that erupted by the exit gates.
It’s unclear if security intervened in the throwing of bows, but if the short video clip is any indication, no one stepped in.
But a Jets spokesperson said that they are aware of the violence that occurred after the game.
“We are aware of the situation and we do not tolerate that behavior. Parties involved were detained and this matter is now in the hands of the New Jersey State Police.”
The incident is still under investigation, however, no arrests have been made.
