We’re about to get fly shades for the sunny days, because Charlotte Ronson is collaborating with Vogue Eyewear for a special series of sunglasses. The fashion designer has no past experience with designing eyewear, but she’s learning there’s a first time for everything.

Charlotte Ronson was pulled by Luxxotica and the Council of Fashion Designers of America to be a part of the 2014 Design Series for Vogue, and for the first time, the collection will include not only sunglasses, but optical frames as well, inspired by the brand’s ambassador: the beautiful Eva Mendes.

Some past designers that have given their design expertise to the sunglasses include Rebecca Minkoff, Monica Botkier, and Nanette Lepore.

Glam for our eyes? We can dig it.
