Don Lemon is doing what he loves to do most…pissing people off.
This time, he’s endorsing the controversial and discriminatory stop-and-frisk policy implemented by the NYPD.
During the Tom Joyner show on Tuesday, Lemon admitted that the police aren’t always fair or respectful of the people they stopped, but suggested to dissenters that they should ignore that fact because the “formula has reduced crime in NYC.”
A fact that is still very questionable. Anyway, here’s Lemon’s flawed analogy:
“The question is, would you rather be politically correct or safe and alive?” he concluded.
Needless to say, that statement pissed off a lot of people. So much so, that they created this hashtag to break down just how ridiculous he sounds.
