Heidi Montag is learning the hard way that bigger doesn’t always mean better, especially when it comes to your breasts.
Heidi underwent over-the-top transformations three years ago to get size-F breast implants and nine other surgeries. Now, she’s headed back under the knife, this time to downsize. Heidi opened up about her decision to swap out her size-Fs for modest Cs and show the girls off for the first time.
The 27-year-old was all smiles during the seaside shoot in Santa Barbara, California as she displayed her glowing smile and smaller breasts. The procedure took six hours to complete; Montag says she underwent the surgery because she was having a number of health problems, which all related back to her implants.
According to the former Hills star, each implant weighed “about three pounds each.”
“I couldn’t conceptualize the weight of them in my body,” she said. “They felt like bowling balls on my chest.”
The weight of her implants was beginning to have effects on her back and neck; they also began to cause numbness in her arms. Her health problems and a meeting with a reconstructive surgeon were all the convincing she needed to ditch her heavy implants for more reasonable ones.
Montag tells Us Magazine she feels better than ever.
“I’m the new, new Heidi!”
