Yaaaaasss Gaga!
Lady Gaga had us doing a double take as she closely resembles a younger Donatella Versace in a new ad the designer brand has just released.
Sharing the photo on Twitter, Versace announced that the “Applause” singer is the face of the Spring/Summer 2014 campaign, shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.
The decision may come as no surprise as the relationship between the two has been blooming that last couple of years. Donatella opened the Versace archives for the very first time for a music video to outfit Gaga in her 2011 “Edge of Glory” video, and in 2012 Versace then went on to dress Gaga for her 2012 Born This Way concert tour.
Even more signifying of the two’s fancy for one another, this year, Gaga paid some homage to her fellow blonde gal pal with a single on her ARTPOP album entitled “Donatella,” in which she sings:
“Who’s that bitch, she’s so thin, She’s so rich, and so blonde, She so fab, it’s beyond…”
Yup! The love is strong.
