They’re calling her the next Mariah Carey, and with a voice like hers, can you blame them?
The always adorable Ariana Grande was tapped as the cover star for Teen Vogue’s February cover, and just like her voice, the result is a beautiful melody of pinks, metallic and everything on-trend.
The 20-year-old actress/singer poses with a lizard during her desert and gypsy-themed photoshoot, before gushing about her boyfriend, The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes. But as the world of press goes, the interview came out the day after the couple called it quits. The pair, who began dating in August after they released a duet together, split up a few weeks ago, according to an Us Weekly source. “They just weren’t into it anymore.” Sad face.
Check out what Ariana had to share in the interview, and a few snaps from the colorful shoot below.
On her long-distance relationship with The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes:
“It’s not as tough as people would think. We have the same music manager, so we can see each other’s schedules and plan little trips as often as we can.”
On staying true to herself:
“I’m not like a little robot at all. I’m a real person. I don’t try to do things because they will look a certain way. I try to keep it real with my fans.”
On the pitfalls of social media:
“I’m a lot shier than people think. I don’t go online when I’m dealing with sh*t. This is a very amazing time in my life, but also the most stressful. I’m adjusting and I’m learning.”
And alas, check out her magazine cover:
