You have to be a special kind of girl to get Christmas gifts from Kanye West, and you’d have to be Kim Kardashian to actually get away with being able to wear them. Yesterday while the world was hitting the stores to return their Christmas gifts, KimYe were out buying more as they hit up a sport store in Los Angeles.
Kim was beaming in her shopping get up that included a Céline Fall 2013 Coat paired with white Denim Skinnies, $618 Saint Laurent Paris Suede Pumps, and the icing on the cake, an Hermés Custom George Condo Hand Painted Birkin.
If the work of art looks familiar, it’s because Condo is the artist that produced the visuals for Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album, the same one that was banned from Walmart and Target that resulted in the blurred cover Kanye eventually released. Yeezy’s Twitter Icon is also a work of art from Condo as the artist has prior produced 5 pieces for Yeezy, making this Birkin bag his 6th. In Kim’s personalized painting, she is straddled by the very image from Kanye’s album work.
But the real point here, is no matter how much of a self-proclaimed God you are, who can afford custom art work on a Birkin, you still gotta pay your meter.
