Things are really looking up for Amanda Bynes.

Following extensive medical treatment and an extended stay in a rehab facility, Amanda is back to her old self. No, not the Amanda who dissed everyone and their mother on Twitter. The one we all know and love.

E! News reports that the once troubled celeb has enrolled for the winter quarter at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Orange County, CA. Classes are said to have started yesterday, unfortunately it’s unclear whether or not Bynes ever made it to class.

According to E!’s sources, as of 12:30 p.m., Amanda’s name remained on a long list of absent students. Though she may or may not have missed her first day of classes, Ms. Bynes came out on top of at least one thing yesterday.

Amanda beat her criminal case in which she was accused of throwing a bong out the window of her New York City apartment. Police claimed they came to Amanda’s apartment after multiple complaints from other residents that the former actress was smoking marijuana. Authorities said they smelled weed in the unit, but before they could do anything, she tossed a bong out the window.

As we previously reported, Amanda claimed the item she threw was a flower vase, not a bong. Regardless, she was charged with possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence and reckless endangerment.

Law enforcement officials told TMZ the case would be resolved in a court of law today. They revealed that Bynes would not enter a plea and if she stays on the straight and narrow and continues with her therapy for the next six months, all charges would be formally dismissed.

The reason? TMZ reports that police didn’t collect the glass from outside Amanda’s apartment until days later, which means there’s no solid proof it was the same glass she was seen tossing out the window the day they entered her apartment.

TMZ says their attempts to reach Amanda’s lawyer were futile; he had nothing to say on the matter.

We’re still glad to see Amanda headed in the right direction.
