Could this possibly be the end for Governor Chris Christie?

The New Jersey leader is currently under a ton of fire for a scandal in which his team is said to have closed down 3 lanes on the George Washington bridge, causing traffic jams.

According to the Huffington Post, the offense of him and his team could cause him to possibly get impeached if it turns out that he was aware of the incident.

Emails reportedly show Christie deliberately  plotted to wreak havoc on Fort Lee, N.J., once it became clear that the borough’s mayor, Democrat Mark Sokolich, wasn’t going to publicly back him in his reelection bid.

New Jersey Assemblyman John Wisniewski told the site:

“Using the George Washington Bridge, a public resource, to exact a political vendetta, is a crime,” Wisniewski said. “Having people use their official position to have a political game is a crime. So if those tie back to the governor in any way, it clearly becomes an impeachable offense.”

“It’s hard to really accept the governor’s statement that he knew nothing until the other morning.”

Christie has so far made tons of efforts to show that he had no knowledge of the scandal before it happened, where he revealed his embarrassment in a public press conference this past week.

It looks like the answer of whether he will be considered for impeachment should most likely come this week, as Wisniewski continued:

“Nothing will happen until Monday.”

Should Christie just call it quits?
