While rehab may be synonymous with the word celebrity these days, there are some stars you’d never expect to be in that category – and Selena Gomez is one of them.
According to Radar Online, the 21-year-old recently did a short stint at Meadows Rehabilitation Center in Arizona. But it’s not for what you think.
The “Stars Dance” singer voluntarily entered the center on January 5th for exhaustion. Meadows specializes in treating young people from the ages of 18 to 26 for emotional trauma or addiction.
A source revealed to Radar:
“It’s important to remember that Selena had worked in Hollywood non-stop for six years. She was exhausted.”
The source also stated that Selena needed to leave the scene for a while. She added:
“It just got to a point where she needed to get out of Los Angeles, get away from ‘the scene’ and the pressures of Hollywood, to also get away from those who had, admittedly, become a bad influence on her.”
Selena also canceled her Australian tour at the end of December for an undisclosed reason.
The source did confirm that Selena is definitely “feeling better” and is in a “positive space.” We wish her the best.
