With Monday marking the deadline for Americans to sign up for an affordable health care plan on HealthCare.gov, skeptics were worried that the Obama administration wouldn’t reach their six million enrollment target.

But as Tuesday rolled around, one thing was clear — Obama and his administration “made it.” According to White House spokesperson Jay Carney7,041,000 people picked a taxpayer-subsidized private health insurance plan, also known as Obamacare.

During an afternoon press conference, President Obama announced the success of the highly scrutinized Affordable Care Act and no excitement about reaching his goal was spared.

“We surpassed everyone’s expectations,” he said. “The bottom line is this: the share of Americans with insurance is up, and the growth in the cost of insurance is down,” he said, standing in the Rose Garden with Vice President Biden. “There’s no good reason to go back.”

It’s safe to say the dynamic duo was proud to announce that they reached their target (Biden winked and smiled and threw his two thumbs up to the crowd of reporters like everyone’s crazy uncle). But more importantly, presenting those whopping enrollment numbers gave President Obama a chance to prove to all his Republican haters that universal health care, despite its disastrous beginning six months ago, is an attainable goal.

He made it.

And in honor, we’ve rounded up 28 of President Obama’s best “We Made It” grins, mugs and expressions. But of course, you can’t take a look without listening to the Drake and Soulja Boy track at the same time.

It just wouldn’t be right.
