The couple made their way to Paris separately over the weekend, meeting up at a gym club on Sunday. After reuniting, they headed out for a very private and very romantic dinner at one of their favorite spots in Paris, Ferdi, which is located near the Tuileries Gardens.
The following day it was all-wedding-everything for the happy duo. They headed out bright and early to work out all the tiny details going into their special day. According to People magazine, KimYe set out to lock in their wedding location, scour the fashion-focused city for a wedding dress and, of course, meet up with each and every one of their designer friends.
The couple made their way to a 17th century chateau 20 minutes outside of Paris for an hour-long visit. During their trip to the semi-remote location, Kim was seen wearing a black silk gown embroidered from head-to-toe, while Kanye stayed true to his usual laid back look.
The Château de Versailles construit à Louveciennes is said to be located in the middle of a national forest, which would provide KimYe and their estimated 150 guests the privacy they would like, as well as enough space for everyone.
“Kim was so happy and enjoyed looking at all the beautiful details. She asked a few question and seemed excited to be there. She shook hands with everyone and then left with a chauffeur,” one source told E!
According to another source, Kim “smiled and shook hands for a long time when she was leaving. She seemed very pleased.”
After scouting out their possible venue, Kim and Kanye set out to pin down a dress for the bride-to-be. Kimmy returned to Paris to slip into something more comfortable and start her hunt, while her hubby-to-be left to be custom-fitted for a suit at Cifonelli.
Kim stopped in at three different fashion houses during her day out, including Balmain, Givenchy and Rue St. Honoré. Kim and ‘Ye are close friends with the designers of each house, all of whom are eager to be the one dressing Kim on her wedding day.
While we’re not sure exactly what it is that Kim was up to at Balmain, she and designer Olivier Rousteing shared photos on Instagram that lead us to believe something big is in the works! Kim shared several cryptic photos with one reoccurring theme: a #MermaidInParis.
The first of several photos shows what appears to be a mermaid tail gliding through clear blue water.
She then shared a photo of herself and Rousteing, and an up-close-and-personal selfie:
Olivier was much clearer and to the point with his Instagram photos from their little rendezvous. The Balmain designer shared a photo of Kim mid-selfie, surrounded by what appears to be a large aquarium.
He also uploaded a photo that looks as though it may be part of a fierce and fabulous photoshoot.
We’ll have to wait and see what this is all about.
After finishing at Givenchy, Kim rushed through the city to meet with Kanye and house designer Alber Elbaz at Lanvin.
Upon reuniting, the pair returned to Balmain, where they were seen leaving with several packages before jetting off to the airport.
While it sounds like this wedding is going to be a full on Parisian blow out, Kim recently told Ryan Seacrest that she and her boo are planning to have a “super, super small intimate” wedding.
“As we are going along, we realize we want it to be smaller and more intimate than people are imagining and thinking,” she said.
It has been reported that Kim and Kanye are planning to jump the broom in late May, but E! News reports they have yet to set an official date. Regardless, both Kim and Yeezy are tirelessly planning away, according to the 33-year-old reality TV star.
“There’s certain things I’m like, ‘I know you’re going to hate the seating chart, so I’ll take care of this,'” she said. “And then there’s somethings that are really important to him. But the seating chart is like death.”
We can only imagine, Kimmy.
