Floyd Mayweather was originally supposed to fight British welterweight Amir Khan on May 3rd.
Then, hard-hitting Argentine boxer Marcos Maidana beat Adrien Broner in a 2013 fight of the year contender. And Floyd changed his mind, picking Maidana as his May 3rd opponent because he earned it.
So Khan has to earn a fight with Mayweather, which is why he’s fighting Brooklyn tough guy Luis Collazo. The two will scrap right before Floyd takes on Maidana. However, considering the style of the two fighters, there’s a chance that Khan and Collazo will steal the night. (High probability this happens, in fact.)
