During a Friday hearing to determine if a second Stand Your Ground hearing would take place in the retrial of Marissa Alexander, Florida Circuit Judge James Daniel said he needed more information to make a decision.

Alexander, 33, is out on bond while awaiting a new trial on charges of firing a warning shot during an altercation with her abusive husband. She was previously convicted of three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and sentenced to 20 years in prison. The conviction was thrown out on appeal.

The next hearing is expected to take place in June. We’ll keep you updated with the latest in Alexander’s case.
