HS87, they’re the plug.

It’s no secret Grammy Award-winning producer Hit-Boy can crank out hit after hit. The 27-year-old Cali native is responsible for some of the biggest songs in hip-hop and R&B in the past decade.

Kanye and Jay Z’s “N*ggas In Paris,” Beyonce’s “Flawless,” Drake’s “Trophies,” and G.O.O.D Music’s “Clique” are just a few hit records he’s responsible for. His latest project, however, doesn’t involve producing a smash for The Throne (although he has multiple placements on Mariah’s new album). Instead, Hit-Boy is focused on putting on young bubbling talent from his HS87 group, which includes hip-hop duo Audio Push.

Hit-Boy, Price, and Oktane stopped by GlobalGrind’s office to chat about their new album, We The Plug, working on Mariah Carey’s new record, being critiqued by Kanye West, and of course, their HS87 movement.
