Truck Driver Kevin Roper has pleased not guilty  in the crash that killed one person and injured Tracy Morgan in New Jersey.

Kevin Roper, the Wal-Mart truck driver charged in the New Jersey car accident involving comedian Tracy Morgan, is due in court today.

According to the Huffington Post, Roper will appear in court to possibly face death by auto and assault by auto charges. While criminal reports have stated the 35-year-old was deprived of sleep for over 24 hours, a Twitter account owned by Roper told a different story. The truck driver claims that he wasn’t tired or on any drugs when the accident happened.

Despite the death of writer, comedian and Morgan friend James McNair, Roper believes that if the incident involved someone besides a celebrity, media attention would be different.

The accident has left a few others, along with Morgan, in the hospital. The comedian is recovering from a broken femur, broken nose, and several broken ribs.
